Facebook ranked as the most used social networking service by worldwide dailly active users, followed by Twitter and MySpace. Since we all surf Facebook on daily basis or occasionally, chances are we all’re already familiar with regular stuffs like add/delete friends, update statuses, walls and profile, share links, upload latest pictures, add and explore pages & applications, etc, But you guys know what?.There’s more that we might not known.
In this post,we’re gonna cover some cool and interesting stuffs you can do on (or with) Facebooks.Some of these tricks are not documented or unknown to many.But Do not worry, I will guide you guys step by step along this post.
1.UPDATE FACEBOOK WITHOUT USING FACEBOOK
Helping users access their most relevant information more easily is something is not very easy. But With Hellotxt you can post your status once and have it appear automatically on all of your web services, allowing you to keep all of your friends up to date with ease. It also lets you read your friends' updates from larger web services like Facebook and Twitter on one screen.
You can update your status on the website, or by using email from your mobile phone. You can also embed photos and video right into your status updates.
Step 1: Sign in Hellotxt with your Facebook Account.(you may sign in with other social web service account too)
Step 2 - Click on Post. You will find many useful features here.
Step 3 - After update your status on Hellotxt. Your latest updates will automatically published on your Facebook wall
2.HOW TO REMOVE FACEBOOK ADVERTISEMENT
This Greasemonkey script –Facebook Cleanerremoves many of the annoying ads and updates that unavoidably appear on your Facebook pages.
Greasemonkey is an extension for Mozilla Firefox, an open source Web Browser. Most userscripts are written for Firefox & Greasemonkey (although some work in Opera, Safari and even Internet Explorer).
For this guide I will assume you are using Firefox, if not you should install Firefox first.
Userscripts run via Greasemonkey.
Step 1-You need to installGreasemonkey. After installation (which requires restarting your browser), you are now ready to install userscripts.
Step 2-Click this Facebook Cleaner Script.jslink to triggers Greasemonkey to pop up the script installation panel. Greasemonkey shows you a list of what sites the script will run on and ask if you want to install the script.
Step 3-Now loading a Facebook results in additional code (the userscript) being run.Annoying advertisement no more visible in you page.
3.HOW TO ACCESS FACEBOOK CHAT ON YOUR DESKTOP
Gabtastiklet you keep Facebook chat sessions open on your Windows desktop outside of your regular web browser, using minimal screen real estate and system memory.
Step1- Download and install Gabtastik in your system.
Step 2- Launch Gabtastik and login to your facebook account.
Step 3- Now you can access your facebook chat on your desktop.
4. HOW TO GET FACEBOOK ON YOUR DESKTOP
Seesmic Desktopare desktop applications that allows you interact with your stream just as you would on Facebook, but without the browser.
Step 2-Launch Seesmic Desktop and add your social networking service account.
Step 3-Now you may enjoy Seesmic Desktop’s features on your desktop.
5.HOW TO UPDATE YOUR FACEBOOK STATUS FROM FIREFOX
FireStatusis a Firefox 3 extension that allows you to send status updates, notes and URL links simultaneously to multiple social networks and services, like Twitter, FaceBook and FriendFeed. It also displays updates from these services in notification popups, for a more "live" communication with your friends.
Step 1- Download and install the FireStatusaddon on your firefox browser
Step 2 - Now you may update your facebook status from firefox browser.
Step 3- Your status will be automatically published on your wall
