In approximately 14 hours ago, the nation's No.1 Tamil radio came up with an special announcement; informing the public that their Facebook page has been infiltrated by an unknown entity. THR Raaga's Facebook page was attacked early Tuesday at around 10.00a.m. with surface of new profile picture with red handprint with "Hacked" written on it, defacing the popular Tamil radio station's logo. The hacker of the the radio page, is still unknown and few status updates were posted by the alleged hacker stating that THR Raaga will close soon and informing the people that the page is hacked for several reasons and will be back soon.
The use of "We" in their latest post, reveals that it was not done by a single entity. The impact on the radio station is little known but the fans of the radio station, have flooded the page with questions and wanting to know the reason behind the hacking and the hackers intentions. THR Raaga also stated in their website that they are currently working diligently to resolve the matter and apologized for the inconvenience caused. The radio station also stated that they will update information and address the situation soon. THR Raaga when contacted, refused to comment and clarify further regarding the incident.
Updates :The fan page has been taken down. We think "Hackers" have deactivated or Facebook admin helps THR to take down the fan page. Anyhow, the fan page is unavailable now. It seems THR Raaga's twitter account also have been compromised.
